Several users have reported that their iPhone 4 does not vibrate even though they enable vibrating. It is a common issue that the vibration motor may get stuck or jammed. To solve this issue:
1- Enable vibrating on your iPhone
2- Download a free vibrating app like iBrate. Basically, all iBrate does is make your iPhone vibrate on command.
3-Turn on vibration via the app and gently tap the top right hand side of the phone when looking at the rear surface where the vibration motor is placed. It will stutter and come on and off but after a while it becomes more regular.
Contact Apple Support if you are still having issues with the vibrate feature.

My did come on lightly and I left it run a couple of min but soon as I exited the app ibrate It didn’t work again so I opened the app and had to tap it again and it come back on very lightly and quit again

What solution did you make. mine after several tap at he back it did vibrate softly then became strong then afew maybe few attempt to try if will work always have to tap then after it no longer working even several to hard tap.

i tapped and downloading the app but no luck. anything else or will i have to go to apple store

Are you serious?! This is the fix?! My husband is experiencing this problem, and no, this did not work! How much are we paying for this phone?!…always something with every iphone…I’m not sure if I’m sticking with iphones!!
