iCloud lets you store your content (music, photos, apps, contacts, calendars and videos etc.) and automatically push them to all your iOS devices (iPad, iPhone or iPod) and computers (Mac or PC). For various reasons, you may want to delete your iCloud backups. This short article explains how to delete a backup from iCloud:
iOS: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch:
Step #1. Tap Settings > iCloud.
Step #2. Tap Storage & Backup.
Step #3. Tap Manage Storage; you will now see all your latest backups for all your devices using iCloud with the same Apple ID.
Step #4. Tap your iOS device in the Backups area.
Step #5. Tap Delete Backup; you will be asked to confirm if “you want to turn off backup and delete all backup data for “device name” from iCloud.” and tap “Turn Off & Delete.”
Mac OS X
Step #1. Apple menu > System Preferences.
Step #2. Click iCloud
Step #3. Click Manage…
Step #4. Click Backups
Step #5. Choose the Backup that you want to clear
Step #6. Click Delete
Step #7. You will be asked to confirm and click delete.
Step #1. Open the Windows Control Panel
Step #2. Click Manage
Step #3. Click Backup
Step #4. Choose the backup that you want delete to remove it from iCloud
Step #5. Confirm and delete
