Paiz,

That’s terrible. Have your checked Apple Server Status to see if there are any issues?

Try connecting to cellular data only and see if that works. Or if connecting via cellular data, try Wifi only.

Very odd behavior indeed.

Finally, I unplugged the power cord and turned on the the blank screen and let the battery run down completely. I plugged it back in on the power source, and within 1 hours, the computer came on by itself..problem solved. I have seen others with similar experience, so this was not an original idea.

I have deleted the email account, reset it and it still will not download any messages. When I open the mail app, it simply says “No Mail” when i know there were several hundred emails yesterday. It’s not on my server side because i am receiving emails on my computer.

Comment on iCloud: The maximum number of free accounts have been activated (Q&A) by SK http://appletoolbox.com/2013/07/icloud-the-maximum-number-of-free-accounts-have-been-activated-qa/#comment-1212603 Wed, 22 Feb 2017 17:17:45 +0000 http://appletoolbox.com/?p=16614#comment-1212603 Hi Rajesh,

Sadly, there is nothing that you can do on your iPhone itself to create another free iCloud account. Apple allows only three free iCloud accounts per iDevice. And that restriction is tied to the device itself, so you will never be able to create another iCloud account on that phone.

But you can create an iCloud account on another Apple iDevice or Mac! Once you create another iCloud account, delete the iCloud account currently on your iPhone and then sign into iCloud with the account credentials you just created.

We always need to install IPSW files on our iPhone iPad to restore. What is IPSW and how to install IPSW files with iTunes.

Comment on iPad Air charging “very slowly” or “not charging”, fix by SK http://appletoolbox.com/2013/11/ipad-air-charging-very-slowly-or-not-charging-fix/#comment-1212535 Wed, 22 Feb 2017 00:43:12 +0000 http://appletoolbox.com/?p=25194#comment-1212535 Hi Yaritza,

Try to charge your iPad using the original Apple charger and cable, if you have them. Chances are, the iPad is indeed charging. Just let it charge for 8 or more hours. If that doesn’t work, try the tips outlined in the article.

Cheers,

Liz

It sounds like your iPad 2 needs a full charge. Plug it into the wall using the Apple charger and cable your iPad came packaged with. Let it charge up for a good 8 hours or so.

That’s fantastic! It seems the update to Sierra 10.12.3 reverted those settings to default. This normally doesn’t occur–it remembers your setting. But for some reason, this time it did not! But it’s working and an easy fix. So that’s a celebration. Enjoy macOS Sierra.

Cheers,

I followed the instructions here and it now works, albeit restored to factory settings and no content retained.

Shows battery drained picture with 2 red lines. But was fully charged. Took to Best Buy yesterday they ran diagnostic said was ok and battery will be good for a few months yet. What is up with this update? It shuts off and then won’t restart even with a reboot . It took me probably more than 10 times to get it to start tonite.

Prior to the upgrade I was able to print to my Canon MG7520 via AirPrint from email app, Safari, and photos… If I was printing a picture from photos then the printer would use Tray 1 (Default Tray for Photos on this printer). If I was printing from email or Safari then the printer would print using Tray 2 (Letter size paper).

NOW… AirPrint only prints to Tray 1 (4×6) regardless of the app. I’ve scoured the blogs and help pages and haven’t found anything that works. There are NO solutions offered by Apple or Canon for this new VERY undesirable behavior, at least none that I’ve found to work. I find Apple’s suggestion to go back to the printer company to look for updates is disappointing… mostly because printing from my iPhones and iPad worked perfectly well until the latest iOS update.

Anyone else experienced this same problem? Any fixes? Yes I’ve rebooted, uninstalled, reinstalled all devices, restarted phone, reset printer… etc… (AirPrint connection is working, no problem with sending a sending). I also tried several print apps and other email apps to try and find a work around. to print documents on Tray 2.. but nothing I’ve found so far is working.
