I’ve had my 17 inch Macbook Pro for about 3 months now. While I’ve had some minor issues with it, overall it’s been great. I love how the keyword lights up so I can see at night. I’d recommend it to anyone who does design work.

I have a similar issue with my early ’09 Macbook Pro 15″. I’ll be emailing Apple Support tonight.

I have a very similar issue. Until today, I simply thought my screen was dead because I swapped it for similar one and it is not purple. I cannot try the the firmware because I use a MBP 15. Do you think these machines could also be affected ? I’ve seen a similar firmware has also been released for the macbooks.
