On the heels of Siri leaking the details around the dates for the upcoming WWDC event this week, Apple has finally confirmed the actual conference dates and schedule on its website.
The event unfolds on June 13th at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. According to Apple, Expect an unforgettable Monday as Apple’s renowned developer community comes together to learn about the future of OS X, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS.
Detailed Sessions and labs will be held from June 14th – June 17th at the Moscone West location.
The Keynote and State of the Union promise exciting reveals, providing inspiration and new opportunities to continue creating the most innovative apps in the world. End the day by honoring the most remarkable developers of the year at the Apple Design Awards.
Due to limited availability, tickets are allocated through a random selection process. Apple is providing an opportunity to register as a developer so that you can avail yourself of the random selection process. Please click here to register.
In order to be included in the random selection process to buy a ticket to attend WWDC, you must:
- Be a member of the Apple Developer Program or the Apple Developer Enterprise Program as of April 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. PDT;
- Submit your registration form with accurate information;
- Verify the payment credentials associated with your Apple ID or submit a payment processing form with your credit/debit card information if the WWDC ticket or Apple Online Store is not available in your country;
- Authorize Apple to automatically charge your credit/debit card 1599 USD, if you are assigned a ticket to WWDC; and
Be randomly selected by Apple for a ticket and have a valid purchase transaction. If there is a problem with the payment transaction, Apple reserves the right to randomly select another registrant for the ticket.
For those of you that cannot make it to the event, the WWDC event will be available via live streaming on the web and via the WWDC App. Last year’s event videos are still available for preview at Apple site.
We are hoping that the event will introduce iOS 10, the new MacOS as well as updated versions of TVOS and WatchOS. iPhone 7 Fans will probably need to wait a little longer : )
