I will ask specific contacts to turn off their Smart Punctuation.
Thanks to Allison above for posting the link, I submitted a request to apple feedback.
I suggest everyone having this problem do the same – request online, call, etc… I don’t use an iPhone myself, but I’ve bought them for my kids and my wife, so my opinion matters!
