Straight up I’m not tech savvy. But I can usually bumble my way through standard glitches/upgrades etc.
I’ve been going around and around with my Apple ID/iCloud issues for months.
I am repeatedly told I have forgotten my password. Then I update my password and it still won’t recognise it and i have to start again.
When I go to Apple, System Preferences, iCloud it asks me to enter my Apple ID password. If it allows me to enter the password (it sometimes does) then it will tell me that i have to enter the verification code. It sends a verification code to my iPhone but there is actually nowhere to type the code in on the Mac.
So I have to try Account Details, Manage ID which takes me to the Apple ID website. I re-enter my password or change it and then go around the full circle and do it again.
I can’t update my Mac or back up my iPhone or access Apps on my mac or iCloud email on Mac mail (which used to work) or use mac mail even for gmail any. more. It insists I have to enter my apple id. which it will either say is wrong or needs verification or to go to settings preferences and around I go again.
