I’ve upgraded to 13.1.2 and can no longer find an option to permanently delete emails from trash or junk. Any idea how to do it?

To edit your Trash or Junk mailbox, tap it open and select the Edit button at the top. Choose Select All to checkmark all email or tap each email to select it. Once done, tap the Delete button at the bottom.
If you see Archive instead of Delete, either change your email behavior or select a few of the messages you want to delete (do not press Select All) and then tap & hold on that Archive button until you see options to Archive or Delete. Choose Delete and repeat.
To change your mailbox behavior from Archive to Delete, go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > tap an account > tap the account name > Advanced > and change Move Discarded Messages Into to Deleted Mailbox instead of Archive. Then tap the top back button and select Done to save this option change.
