Hi – I checked this morning and I bought my IPAD mini 2 32GB in December 2015 so it started having faults almost exactly a year after (whenever the last technology download was done). At first I put it down to that. When the cover has been shut a while and you open it, it now takes ages for anything to happen. Before, as soon as the cover opened the keypad for pin number would come up – now it takes an age and sometimes you have to press the home button to wake it up. More worrying though was that there were two horizontal lines at the bottom of the screen. I ignored these at first but they are multiplying and rising up the screen. I reckon there are now about 6-8 dark horizontal lines along the bottom 1cm of the screen, which is getting annoying. My mum’s IPAD Air 2 64GB recently had black screen death and had to be replaced (within 12 months warranty) and we bought hers as she liked the look of mine. I’m now worrying that mine is going the same way and this is my first experience of any Apple product – please help!
