GuestHi, I am using the app ‘my data manager’ to track my usage as it had become suddenly excessive. The app shows my usage accurately but has unexplained peaks at regular points of the day when I am often not using my iPad. These are shown as ‘streaming media’ and are reaching 1 GB a day. I am not using any streaming media at these times. I have disabled any background use of data, automatic updates and back up.
Does anyone have any suggestions on either what this is or how to track down the usage with any other diagnostic software?
Any help appreciated

GuestAre you using the cellular or wifi network for the data? If you are using cellular, you can go into the Settings, Cellular, and see the data usage. There are sliders to prevent some apps from using the cellular data.
If you are backing up to icloud, you may try turning off the backup temporarily to see if that is also using the network excessively while the ipad is not being used.
