Do I need to Replace it? or to Replace digitizer?
All it showed was the iTunes logo when I tried to reboot it.
Grandson has lost/forgot password so I need to factory reset the iPad.

If you have a computer, connect the device to iTunes and try to erase/restore from there–if you see a message in iTunes like “there’s a problem that requires it to be updated or restored,” hit update–this reinstalls iOS.
If you don’t have a computer at home, you can use anyone’s Windows PC or Mac as long as it has iTunes on it. You can also go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider and ask them to use one of their Macs to restore your iPad.
If that doesn’t help or work, use Recovery Mode in iTunes.
On a computer, open the latest version of iTunes
If iTunes is already open, close it.
Connect your iPad and open then iTunes.
While your device is connected, force restart it BUT don’t release any of the buttons when you see the Apple logo, instead, you must wait until the connect to iTunes screen appears
Press and hold both the Home and the Power buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the connect to iTunes screen. This may take a longer than expected time.
When you see the option to Restore or Update, choose Update or Restore.
With Update, iTunes tries to reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
Wait while iTunes downloads the software for your device.
If the download takes more than 15 minutes and your iPad exits the connect to iTunes screen, let the download finish, then go back to force restarting and holding until you see the connect to iTunes screen.
After the Update or Restore completes, set up your device.

I have been using apps from the App Store and just recently my iPad has started to boot me out of these apps for no reason and randomly goes to a different app. What can I do? Do I need to get a new one?
