I have an issue with my Macbook Pro 2012 OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 that it no longer syncs notes to iCloud. I can easily start a note on my iPad or iPhone and see the not on iCloud, but I cannot see that note on my Mac. If I start a note on my Mac, the note does not show up on iCloud or any of my other devices. I have tried to see what my default account is in notes but it is greyed out. I have tried deleting iCloud account and re-inputting the information but nothing works. When I do delete the iCloud account, the notes on my Macbook disappear. When I re-input the iCloud account, the notes re-appear so I know they are on the web somewhere. Anyone have any suggestions?

Subscribing, I have the exact same problem, have tried every suggestion from many other forums and still nothing.

It is July 2016 and this OPs problem is identical to mine today. Anyone have an answer? My Macbook Pro Retina Mid 2012 with 10.10.5 is not syncing any note to or from my iCloud account. The account is correct, it is the only one I have. I am logged in. I only have three notes on the local drive while all the rest are under iCloud notes (on the left of the mac’s note app.)
I can’t lose these notes. I am afraid since they are not stored locally that I will lose all of them. All notes from the past year are not in iCloud and no notes from my iPhones over the past year can be seen on my Mac.
