My school installs an extra start up screen in the macbook and macbook air when you start the machine. the company logo comes up and you have to hit enter, then it goes into the start up user screen.
Where you THEN pick a user and login.
HOW can I remove this first login screen?
I know I did it with the admin password/ user terminal a few years ago, but I forgot how to do it? Any advice please.
Thanks, frustrated user

Is this what you need?
Step #1. Open Terminal
Step #2. Use command
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow LoginwindowText ” ”
System Prefs > Security & Privacy > General and uncheck the option, “Show a message when the screen is locked.”
Not sure if this is what you’re looking for but I thought it might help or send you in the right direction.

I did a little more looking around and what you have there is most likely a policy banner. It’s likely store here: /Library/Security/ folder. I couldn’t find much about how to remove it once it’s on a computer other than reinstall macOS. But try googling mac policy banner removal or deletion & see what shows up
