Hello I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro. My hard drive went bad I installed a new hard drive it lasted about 3 months. I then purchased and installed another SSD loaded OS X it worked fine for a couple of weeks. Then it shut down by itself and when I tried to start the system up it stopped at the white screen I put in my password and it runs a loop then other times it shuts down and reset by itself. Sometimes I am able to get the system up and running it still has all my settings installed. But if it shuts down the error I get is a kernel error no OS X recognized. Is there a battery on the Logic board to keep the programming like OS X and clock working when the system shuts down?
