Just like the Dock on your Mac, the Dock on your Apple Watch is a handy tool for quickly accessing the apps you need and use most often. There are different ways you can organize your Apple Watch Dock. This is why taking a few minutes to arrange that spot so it works for you is worth it.

Start with the Watch App on Your iPhone
First, open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab at the bottom. Then, select Dock.
Choose Your Dock Ordering
At the top, you’ll start by deciding how to order your Dock. You can choose from Recents or Favorites.
If you select Recents, apps that you use most often will appear in your Dock. And, they will be sorted by how recently you used them. This is a good option to choose if you use many apps and jump between them often.
For example, if you are in the habit of opening your weather app first thing in the morning, then that one will appear in your Dock at the top of the list.
If you select Favorites, you get to choose which apps display in the Dock and in what order. This is a good option to choose if you are particular about the apps you use most and when or how often you use them.
For instance, you may not use the Timer app every day but want to keep it in your Dock at the top of the list so it’s in the most convenient spot.
Select Your Favorites
If you use Favorites for your Dock Ordering, then now is when you decide which apps you want. You may see some already in the Favorites section at the top and the rest of available apps are below that in the Do Not Include section.
To remove a Favorite app, tap Edit on the top right. Then, tap the red minus sign next to the app and tap Remove when it appears.
To add an app to the Favorites, tap Edit on the top right. Then, tap the green plus sign next to the app you want to add. It will automatically pop into the Favorites section.
While in Edit mode, you can then rearrange the order in which your apps appear. Just tap and drag an app to its new location in the list.
Keep in mind that you are limited to 10 apps in your Dock and you’ll see a reminder if you try to add more than 10.
When you finish with your changes, tap Done on the top right. You’ll see those changes immediately on your Apple Watch Dock.
Tips for the Apple Watch Dock
While the organization of your Apple Watch Dock takes place within the Watch app on your iPhone, here are a couple of tips to keep in mind for using the Dock itself.
If you want to remove an app from the Dock while wearing your Watch, open the Dock, slide the app from left to right, and tap Remove.
If you want to access all of your apps, you can do this from the Dock as well. Scroll to the last app in your Dock and tap the All Apps option.
Dock Your Apps and Go
Remember, the Dock on your Apple Watch is meant to be a convenient spot for you to access either your most recent apps or your favorite ones. So, sort and arrange those apps in whatever order makes the most sense for you. And, let us know how you like to organize your Dock in the comments below!
