Some of the new features includes:
- Ability to create checklists
- Ability to add photos, videos, sketches, map locations and web links
- Ability to draw sketches
- Ability to hear sound files
One of the enhancements is to draw sketches with a number of different tools. So you updated your iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod) to iOS 9, but the new sketching feature in Notes is missing? So where are these new features?
First please note that this new drawing feature is not available on all iOS devices. Phone 5 and later, iPad (4th generation), all iPad Air models, iPad mini 2 and later, and iPod touch (6th generation) support this feature. This means that if you have an iPhone 4 or an iPad 3, you will not see this feature and you will be able use this mode.
If your device has this feature, when you launch the Notes app, tap Upgrade then Continue and Upgrade Now. After upgrading is done, you will see the new features.
