Apple’s Istanbul retail store is opening this Saturday. Previously, it was reported that Apple CEO Tim Cook and Turkish president Abdullah Gull would attend the store opening. However, according to a Turkish newspaper, citing an insider source from Apple Turkey, Tim Cook will not go to Turkey to open Turkey’s first Apple store . The newspaper claims that it was never planned that Tim Cook would attend the opening.
Although we cannot verify this information, it is safe to assume that if Tim Cook does not attend the opening, it is highly likely that the Turkish President will not be in attendance also.
