Week 1 is almost done and over with for 2016. This is an important week in terms of sticking to the resolutions that you made at the start of the year. Week 1 is also important in that many people quit on their fitness resolutions or loose the momentum that they have amassed during this week. In order to keep you motivated and in line with your fitness goals, here are three workout apps that can provide you with that extra push especially if you received an Apple TV for Christmas! The iphone screen is great but some things are better on a larger screen.
Zova allows Apple TV owners with various types of workouts, including yoga, abdominal exercises, and the like. The App was selected in Apple’s “Best of 2015”. It has also won the Best Apple TV app in Australia. The new version also allows you to team up with your workout buddy and discover workouts specially designed for two. Please don’t tell your significant other that you heard about this from us! Please check it out for yourself.
#2. Wahoo – 7 Minute challenge
We know that the 7 minute work out regimens have been talked about since evah! The pundits agree that it actually works in helping you achieve your fitness goals and build a strong core. Two million people that have rated this 5 out of 5 perhaps know a thing or two. This app is inspired by the 7 Minute Workout that was originally published in ACSM’S Health & Fitness Journal and then covered by the NYTimes. This App integrates very well with Apple TV. Infact, you can monitor your heart rate, calories burned, and other key indicators by using their heart rate monitor that integrates with the Apple TV. Please feel free to also check cultofmac.com for a detailed review of this app.
#3. Streaks workout for Apple TV
The App makes it easier to get an intensive workout at your home. It provides you with demonstrations of all the exercises and also provides you with tips to help refine your technique. The Apple TV version also keeps track of your workout statistics in order to keep you motivated. This is intended for people of all fitness levels and capabilities.
What are some of your favorite workout apps? We would love to hear from you. As we progress through January, we will also bring other fitness and workout apps to your attention.
