For as incredible as the Apple Watch is, we’re still waiting for the day that Apple lets everyone begin using third-party watch faces. We already have access to third-party complications, and there are some ways to create custom watch faces thanks to some specialized apps in the App Store.

With that being said, Apple does a pretty great job at consistently releasing new watch faces whenever a new Apple Watch model is released or a major software update is made available. Most recently, this is evidenced by the new Wayfinder watch face released alongside the Apple Watch Ultra.
How to Rearrange Apple Watch Faces
Something else that you might not know is that you can create different watch faces that can be activated using the built-in Shortcuts app on the iPhone. Between the new Focus Modes and just having extra options, you might find yourself with a plethora of watch faces before you know it. And if there are certain watch faces that you would prefer to have at the top of the list, here’s how you can rearrange Apple Watch faces.
- Tap the screen on your Apple Watch to wake it.
- Touch and hold on the current watch face until you feel the vibration and see the watch face shrink.
- Swipe left or right to locate the watch face that you want to change the order of.
- Touch and hold the watch face until you see the position of the watch face appear at the top of the screen. The first number will tell you the current position, while the second number tells you how many watch faces are available.
- Drag and drop the watch face to the left or right to change its position.
- Repeat the steps to rearrange Apple Watch faces.
- Once you are finished, press the Digital Crown to go back to the primary watch face.
How to Delete Apple Watch Faces
With these newer versions of the Apple Watch, there is no specific limit to the number of watch faces that you can have set up. Of course, this can prove to be a bit problematic if you like keeping things organized, so you might end up wanting to delete some Apple Watch faces after a while. Here’s how you can do so:
- Tap the screen on your Apple Watch to wake it.
- Touch and hold on to the current watch face until you feel the vibration and see the watch face shrink.
- Swipe left or right to locate the watch face that you want to delete.
- Swipe up on the watch face.
- Tap the Remove button.
- Repeat the steps to delete Apple Watch faces that you no longer want to have.
- Once you are finished, press the Digital Crown to go back to the primary watch face.
Regardless of whether you are trying to rearrange or delete Apple Watch faces, you can also do all of this from the iPhone that your Watch is paired to. All you need to do is fire up the Watch app on your iPhone, tap the My Watch tab in the bottom, then tap Edit. From there, you can change the order in which the watch faces appear, or remove watch faces that you no longer want to have on your wrist.
