For years, Deliveries has served as the best delivery tracking app for iPhone. But recent events have occurred which have left many looking for a replacement following a rather surprising announcement. Luckily, the App Store is chock-full of great delivery tracking apps, and while they may not look as great as the Deliveries app, many of these will still make it easy to keep track of your incoming (or outgoing) packages.

What Happened To Deliveries?
Early in May 2022, the company behind Deliveries, JuneCloud, published a blog post sharing some rather surprising information. As noted in the post, the app will no longer work the way it has for the better part of the last 15+ years. Apparently, this has nothing to do with anything on the side of Deliveries but instead is because of how shipping companies have changed their tracking.
It’s likely that over time, more services in Deliveries will no longer show tracking information directly in the app. You won’t see the delivery date, the map route, or any of the details, and you won’t get notifications about changes to the status. You will need to use the “View Online” button to see your tracking information on the shipping company’s web site.
We understand this will make Deliveries less useful for many of you, and you may decide to take a different approach to tracking your packages. For those of you that choose to continue using Deliveries, we’ll do our best to keep making it as useful as we’re able to. Thank you for all of your support over the years.
It’s unknown whether these changes were done intentionally by the different shipping services. But what we do know is that while Deliveries will still be available on the App Store, you will now need to use the “View Online” button in order to find out the latest information about your incoming packages.
Best Delivery Tracking Apps for iPhone
With these changes already affecting the user experience of Deliveries, some may be wondering what the best delivery tracking apps for iPhone are now. Today, we’re taking a look at the potential alternatives for you to consider.
Parcel
If you listen to some of the more-popular Apple-centric podcasts, then you might have heard of Parcel. This seems to be the go-to alternative to Deliveries for many, and part of it has to do with the fact that there are more than 300 package carriers supported. The app is free to download, but a $4.99 per year subscription will unlock push notifications for your incoming packages. Additionally, you can link your Amazon account and will have all of your orders automatically loaded into the app.
AfterShip
If you thought that Parcel’s support for 300 carriers was impressive, then you might be blown away by AfterShip. The developers claim that you’ll be able to track packages from more than 700 carriers across the globe. Additionally, you’ll be able to sync your Gmail account and have automatic importing for the likes of Amazon, Walmart, and even Etsy.
Shop: package & order tracker
Shop burst onto the scene back in 2019, and the service has only gotten better over time. While Shop does a great job at tracking your packages, it also offers an improved shopping experience overall. You can link your payment information within the app, and then do all of your online shopping without jumping between different apps. Then, your packages will automatically populate, giving you a way to quickly view the status of your various shipments.
ParcelTrack – Package Tracker
Unlike other options which require a subscription for push notifications, ParcelTrack takes the opposite approach. The app is free to download and will notify you whenever a new package is heading your way. It will also tell you where your package ended up in the event that the delivery service needed to leave it with a neighbor. ParcelTrack might only support 50 carriers (at the time of writing), but the team is constantly working to add “more and more services every week”.
Route: Package Tracker
Route is touted as the “premier package tracker for all of your online orders”. The app currently has more than 200,000 ratings on the App Store, garnering a score of 4.8 out of 5, which is rather impressive. What helps make this special is that you can “visually track everything” right from the app, and makes it possible to actually see where your packages are on a map, even when they are out for delivery.
First-party applications
While it may not be as convenient, your best bet to replace Deliveries and keep track of your incoming packages might just be to download apps from the different services. Pretty much all of the major shipping services have an app available to download from the App Store. But you’ll of course miss out on the extra features offered by the apps we’ve covered above.
