Snapchat Emoji Meanings
Snapchat provides all users with a few basic Emoji streaks that can be pretty bland. Here are the different Emoji Streaks and what they mean if you get them.
- Gold Star: If a friend has a gold star Emoji next to their name, it means that someone has replayed one of their Snapchats in the past 24 hours. This may mean they have something interesting to show!
- Yellow Heart: A yellow heart symbol is one of the most heartwarming, as it means that both of you are #1 best friends with each other. You both send each other the most amount of snaps daily.
- Red Heart: If your yellow heart evolves into a red one, it means you’ve been each other’s #1 best friend for two weeks. Could there be something more over the horizon?
- Pink Hearts: The last stage of evolution, the pink hearts Emoji, indicates you’ve been #1 best friends for two months or more.
- Baby: A baby Emoji indicates you’ve just become friends with an individual. Here’s to hoping you can get at least a yellow heart symbol next to their name soon.
- Sunglasses Face: A sunglasses face Emoji means that one of your best friends is also one of their best friends. This may raise the stakes and encourage you to Snapchat them a bit more.
- Grimacing Face: A grimacing face Emoji makes things much spicier. It means that your #1 best friend is also their #1 best friend. This Emoji starts the competition as you battle it out to see who can claim ownership of the sole best friend title.
- Smirking Face: The smirking face means that that individual isn’t one of your best friends, but you are one of theirs. They send you plenty of Snaps, but you barely send any back.
- Smiling Face: A smiling face Emoji simply indicates that you two are good friends. You send each other a lot of Snaps, but not so much to claim the best friend title.
- Fire Emoji: If you get a fire Emoji next to a person’s name, it means you’re officially on a Snapstreak. You can get the fire Emoji as soon as you both Snap each other on consecutive days, and it increases with the number of consecutive days.
- 100 Emoji: Once you acquire the 100 Emoji, you’re on a 100-day Snapstreak. That’s extremely impressive, as it means you’ve both been sending each other pictures for 100 consecutive days! Talk about friendship.
- Hourglass: If you have an hourglass Emoji next to someone’s name, it means your streak is about to end. Send them a Snap and receive one quickly to keep the streak alive!
