We wanted to provide you with an update on this issue that some users have been experiencing following iOS 9. Thanks to our reader community for trying out several options and then sharing the few that works for them. I would like to thank John D and Todd for providing an option for this issue. John provided the tip and Todd and his son tried it out on their devices and reported back the progress.
Following our original post in Oct, some folks upgraded to iOS 9.1 and noticed that the issue was resolved. Unfortunately, it was not consistent across the user community. There were many others that were still experiencing the issue despite the upgrade.
John D’s recommendation seem to have done the trick for many users ! According to John, Here are his 7 steps to Stardom!
” This is what worked for me for the blank, white screen on game center:
– close all running apps
– go into airplane mode
– power off the device
– power on the device
– go to settings -> game center and log out of the game center. For me this was not previously accessible
– disable airplane mode and enable wifi
– log back into gamecenter from settings->game center “
The steps highlighted above worked to resolve the issue for many users. We want to take the opportunity to recognize John’s contribution and encourage all of you to share tips and tricks that help in solving issues. We are proud to have you as a part of the AppleToolBox community. We would also like to gift an iTunes card to John for his contribution and request all of you to recognize John’s efforts. Happy TroubleFree Appling to one and all!
