Some individuals lead a busy lifestyle, where they may be driving around constantly or unable to use their hands to touch their iOS devices. If that’s the case for you, you may want to enable or disable call auto-answering, depending on if you want to streamline your daily life or cut out the noise. While we may not wholly recommend automatic call answering to help prevent you from going insane, it may be a necessity for your safety (such as if you’re driving). We want to add a disclaimer that we recommend turning this feature on only if you know you’ll be receiving calls from trustworthy sources. We don’t want you picking up spam calls!

Other iOS Tips and Tricks Like Enable or Disable Call Auto-Answering
If you had a nice taste of some iOS tips and tricks with the enable or disable call auto-answering feature, here are some more to help you make the most out of your Apple experience even more.
Scroll to Top With One Tap
We live in an age of neverending scrolling, so it’s only fitting that Apple devised a way for us to scroll straight to the top of the screen without having to go back up manually by scrolling vigorously. If you’re on Instagram daily or scroll through the endless algorithmic feed that is TikTok, then you’ll certainly make use of this feature. In all versions from iOS 10 and up, you can simply tap on the top left of your Apple device to scroll straight to the top of whatever screen you’re on. For example, if you scroll through Instagram and want to go back to the top and view people’s stories, you can just tap on the top left of your iOS device to do so.
Text Replacement Shortcuts
If you’re enthusiastic about creating shortcuts for almost anything and making efficient use of your smartphone, you may be interested in text replacement shortcuts. Typing in your email every time on an iOS device can be extremely annoying, and although Apple tries to help out with the autofill mode, some might not feel safe storing important passwords and account information on their device. An alternative is to create a text replacement shortcut. Go to your Settings app, head to General > Keyboard > Text Replacement. From there, you can add literally anything you want. Here are some suggestions:
- Use “eml” as a text shortcut for your full email. In the future, if you type “eml” in any text field, it’ll expand into your full email address.
- If you order items on the internet frequently, you may consider creating a text replacement shortcut for your full home address.
- If you have work-specific phrases, you can create text replacement shortcuts for them.
Clear Space by Deleting Deleted Photos
It may sound redundant to delete deleted photos, but not many people know that Apple stores your deleted photos for 30 days after initial deletion from your main photo library. Therefore, you may think you’re getting rid of space by deleting your picture, but in reality, it stays stored on your phone for at least 30 days before permanently disappearing. In your Photos app, scroll down to the bottom to find Recently Deleted. Here, you can restore or permanently delete photos. If a photo or video has ever gone missing from your library, you may find it here and restore it! To clear space, simply select all the photos you want to delete and select delete to make them disappear for good.
