Best iPhone Accessories for the Car: Car Mounts

Belkin MagSafe Car Vent Mount PRO

Belkin MagSafe Car Vent Mount PRO
Clip the mount onto your vents to easily view your iPhone 13 while driving.
Belkin was one of the first companies to partner with Apple when it came to creating a series of MagSafe accessories after the iPhone 12 launch. Arguably the best of these options, has been the MagSafe Car Vent Mount Pro. This car mount attaches to the air vents in your car, and the magnets are strong enough to hold your iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 in place even in the roughest of driving conditions.

ESR HaloLock MagSafe Car Mount

ESR is a brand that we don’t cover all too often, but sometimes, the company offers an accessory that is just too good to look past. In this case, that accessory is the HaloLock MagSafe Car Mount. You’ll enjoy the ability to use MagSafe to keep your iPhone secure, and while the HaloLock is equipped with a car vent mount already, you can easily swap it out for the included dashboard mount. Having versatility is extremely convenient, and ESR nails it with the HaloLock MagSafe Car Mount.

TORRAS Universal Car Phone Mount

What about those who don’t have a MagSafe-compatible iPhone or just want a more traditional car mount? Well, TORRAS has you covered with the aptly-named Universal Car Phone Mount. Like ESR’s HaloLock, the TORRAS Car Mount includes adapters to mount your phone to the dashboard or via the air vents. But this mount is a bit different, as it expands horizontally and then locks into place in order to keep even the iPhone 13 Pro Max in place while you’re driving around. Plus, the bottom holder opens in the middle so you can still charge your iPhone if you need to.

Otterbox Performance Car Dash & Windshield Mount for MagSafe

Otterbox is already pretty well-known for making some of the best rugged cases for iPhone. But the company has finally started expanding into other accessory categories, and that includes the best iPhone accessories for cars. With the Otterbox Performance Car Dash Mount, the company offers MagSafe compatibility, and an adjustable arm to move your iPhone closer (or further away) depending on where you mount it. Unfortunately, if you were hoping for an air vent attachment, you’ll have to look elsewhere as this mount is designed to attach to the windshield or dash.

Best iPhone Accessories for the Car: Wireless Charging Mounts

Spigen OneTap Pro

Like Otterbox, Spigen is well-known for some of the best iPhone cases, so it only makes sense for the company to get into the car accessory game too. The Spigen OneTap Pro fits the bill quite well as you can use it with your iPhone regardless of whether you are using a MagSafe case or not. Charging speeds reach up to 7.5W, which should be just fine while you’re driving around, but you will need to provide your own 20W USB-C car charger.

iOttie Velox

For years, iOttie has made some of the best adjustable wireless charging car mounts, and the Velox continues that trend. But instead of focusing on compatibility with a wide-range of devices, the Velox only works with iPhones that include MagSafe charging. Speaking of which, you’ll reach speeds up to 7.5W when your iPhone is attached, and the soft silicone surface ensures that your iPhone (or case) won’t get messed up while it’s attached. Plus, you can adjust the viewing angle thanks to the built-in ball joint, so you won’t have to strain to look at the directions while you’re on the go.

Anker MagGo 613 Car Charging Mount

When it comes to charging accessories, few can match up with Anker. The company recently released its new MagGo lineup of accessories, including the MagGo 613 Car Charging Mount. With this package, you’ll not only get the wireless charging mount, but Anker also includes a 2-port car charger, along with a five-foot USB-A to Lightning charging cable. Anker has even gone so far to build an LED ring into the MagGo charging pad to ensure that you always place your iPhone in the right spot to keep it secure and ensure it will charge.

Best iPhone Accessories for the Car: Car Chargers

Anker PowerDrive Speed+ 49.5W

Speaking of Anker, it should come as no surprise that the PowerDrive Speed+ is our  top pick for best iPhone accessories if you need a car charger. The PowerDrive+ features a two-port design, complete with a Power Delivery USB-C port and a fast-charging USB-A port. With the Power Delivery port and a compatible cable, you’ll reach charging speeds up to 30W, so you’ll be able to charge any iPhone models as fast as they will allow. And with the secondary USB-A port, you can juice up your AirPods or let your buddy charge up their phone while you’re out and about.

Belkin 32W USB-C Car Charger

Some folks don’t need all of the power offered by Anker’s PowerDrive Speed+, or want a slightly sleeker design. If that’s you, then Belkin has you covered thanks to its 32W USB-C Car Charger. This is a two-port design with a 20W Power Delivery USB-C charging port, along with a USB-A port that will reach charging speeds up to 12W. Belkin also includes a USB-C to Lightning cable in the box so you won’t need to worry about grabbing one later on.

AINOPE Fast USB Car Charger

One of the problems with many of the best iPhone car chargers is that because of the faster charging speeds, they are big and bulky. This is fine for most cars and people, but there are some that would prefer to have a slimmed down and sleek car charger. AINOPE is here to save the day with its Fast USB Car Charger. Again, we have another two-port design, with a 30W USB-C port complete with Power Delivery, and an additional USB-A that can Quick Charge up to 18W. Plus, this charger is so small that it will blend right in and won’t end up getting in the way.

Best iPhone Accessories for the Car: CarPlay Receivers

Pioneer DMH-Z5150BT

Pioneer makes some pretty incredible car receivers, and the DMH-Z5150BT is no exception. This is one of the most popular CarPlay-compatible receivers, as it will also work with Android Auto, bringing some extremely convenient versatility. The touchscreen display measures in at 7-inches, and there are also hardware control buttons mounted on the bottom of the frame. You’ll also be able to use a reverse camera so you won’t find yourself straining your neck when trying to pull out of that parking spot. Finally, the DMH-Z5150BT includes support for having two smartphones connected at the same via Bluetooth, removing the headaches when it comes to switching between devices.

Alpine iLX-W650

Alpine also makes some of the best car receivers, such as the iLX-W650. Like the Pioneer receiver, Alpine’s offering is compatible with both CarPlay and Android Auto, and sports physical buttons along the bottom frame. You’ll still be able to listen to the “regular” AM/FM radio if you want, or you can just sit back and enjoy music streaming straight from your iPhone or through SiriusXM. Alpine even makes it possible for you to plug in a USB drive so you’ll always have music at the ready, even if your iPhone isn’t connected.

Carlinkit Wireless CarPlay Adapter 3.0

In the case of a lot of newer cars, the infotainment systems are already pretty capable. But you still need to plug your iPhone in before you can start using CarPlay which can be a tad annoying. That’s where the CarlinKit Wireless CarPlay Adapter comes in, as you can transform your setup from wired to wireless in a snap. This specific version is compatible with more than different 600 different car models, and the best part is that you won’t lose any of the existing features such as controlling everything from your steering wheel.
