On one hand, there are so many streaming services available on our devices that you might be tempted to cut the cable once and for all. But the truth is, once you start adding up the costs of those different services, you might end up with a higher bill than what you started out with. And this doesn’t account for any regional sports networks that aren’t available as a standalone subscription.

How to Connect TV Provider with iPhone & iPad
Today, we’re taking a look at how you can connect TV provider with iPhone and iPad. By doing so, you’ll be able to watch your favorite shows from applications and streaming services that are supported. Here’s how you can get everything set up from your iPhone or iPad.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Scroll down and tap TV Provider.
- Select your TV provider from the list of options. You can also use the search box at the top of the page to locate your provider.
- Enter your login information, including your email and password. This is the same email and password that you would use to sign in to the website.
- Tap the Sign In button.
Apple does note that you are only able to sign into one TV provider at a time. This means that you won’t be able to switch between different accounts simply based on what streaming services may be tied to varying TV providers that you have.
After you have signed in and the login has been verified with your TV provider, you’ll then be presented with a list of streaming apps. These can be installed right from this page, and include many of the most popular channels. This includes the likes of CBS, CNN, ESPN, NBC, and others.
The listed options also are dependent on what is included in your subscription plan. For example, if you have HBO Max or Starz, these apps will appear in the list, but if you don’t actively pay for a subscription then they won’t.
How to Change Your TV Provider
While many TV providers require you to sign up for a contract of some sort, you might find yourself wanting to change things up. There are constantly different promotions available enticing subscribers to switch services. If you’ve decided to make the switch, or just want to remove the TV provider information from your Apple ID, here’s what you need to do:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Scroll down and tap TV Provider.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap the Sign Out button.
- When prompted, tap Sign Out again to confirm.
- Select your new TV provider from the list of options.
- Follow the on-screen steps to sign in with your proper login credentials.
It’s important to note that if you switched TV providers, then you may be asked to sign in to the different streaming services with the new information. Otherwise, you won’t be able to access those services any longer. Plus, you’ll want to check the TV Providers section to see if any other apps have been added that you can log into.
