Microsoft Teams on Apple Watch: Setting Up Notification Mirroring
Step 1: Open the Apple Watch app on your iOS device (iPhone or iPad).
Step 2: Look for Notifications — it’s usually just under the image of your watch face and has a bell icon.
Step 3: Click Notifications then look for Teams.
Step 4: Ensure the toggle button next to Team is on — it should be slid to the right and colored green.
Step 5: Press the Digital Crown button on the right of the Apple Watch and click Settings.
Step 6: Tap Notifications on your Apple Watch screen.
Step 7: Look for the option Notifications Indicator and ensure the toggle button is switched on.
While this doesn’t exactly install Microsoft Team on Apple Watch, it does allow you to see your notifications in real-time. You can then use your iPhone or iPad to jump on a call or chat and deal with anything urgent. For this method to work, make sure your software is up to date on all your iOS devices. The minimum software requirement is iOS 12.2. You must also turn off Do Not Disturb on both your iPhone/iPad and your Apple Watch.
Third-Party Apps You Can Use to Get Microsoft Teams on Apple Watch
Apps such as TeamsSync (previously called Mikey) and WatchTeams are available via the Apple Watch App Store.
Step 1: Press the Digital Crown button on your Apple Watch then open the App Store.
Step 2: Search for the third-party app of your choice. Some of the popular apps are WatchTeams and TeamSync. You can either voice search or type in your query.
Step 3: Click “Get” on your chosen app.
Step 4: Open the app and enter your Microsoft Teams login details when prompted.
TeamsSync, once activated, allows you to communicate with other Teams users — even when you don’t have your iPhone to hand.
WatchTeams provides similar functionality but requires system administrator access to work. In other words, you’ll need your company’s IT team to authorize your use of this app. It’s always a good idea to let your organization know if you’re using new technology (even apps) as they may fall outside the firm’s data governance policies.
For example, if your employer only uses apps endorsed by Microsoft, neither of these apps is appropriate. Both are developed by independent creators and aren’t guaranteed to provide the functionality you need. If you decide to use a third-party app, always check the reviews first and make sure it’s fit for your purposes.

As an avid gamer, I’ve run into my fair share of error codes and weird faults that have forced me to find fixes to problems I never anticipated. That gave me a passion for sharing those fixes with others so we can all game without feeling like our hardware is rebelling against us.
