Do All Languages Have Different Voices for Siri?

How you use Siri will differ depending on the language you choose; some have more voices for Siri than others.

As an example, US English has five different voices. On the flip side, Finnish only has two.

When changing Siri’s voice, you’ll also need to remember that not every language is supported. Examples of languages missing from Siri altogether include Icelandic, Indonesian, and Polish.

Now that you know a little more about your options when changing Siri’s voice, let’s move over to the practical aspects. Keep reading to find out how to change Siri’s voice on your iPhone.

  1. Open the Settings app. Then, scroll down to Siri & Search. Alternatively, begin searching for Siri in the search bar at the top.
  2. After clicking on Siri & Search, go to the Siri Voice tab.

The number of voices available will depend on your chosen language. When you tap on one of them, you will hear a preview. Once you’ve found a voice you’re happy with, you can hit the back icon or close the app; your changes have already taken effect.

How to Change Siri’s Voice on Mac

To change Siri’s language on your Mac, the process is a little different. Follow the instructions listed below to achieve your preferred outcome.

1. Click on the Apple logo in the top right-hand corner and select System Preferences. Alternatively, if that particular app is in your dock, you can click on it from there.

2. Once you’re in your Mac’s System Preferences, click on the Siri icon. It’s close to the top of your screen.

Changing Siri’s voice on your iPad is pretty similar to doing so on your iPhone. The steps below will help you pick a new voice.

1. In the Settings app, go to the Siri & Search tab. Then, select Siri Voice.

2. Choose the voice you want to change Siri to. Like on your iPhone, you can hear a preview when you click on any of them.

One thing worth noting for your devices: If your chosen voice for Siri hasn’t been downloaded, you’ll need to do this before using it. However, doing so is simple; it’ll automatically download once you’ve selected a new option.

Changing Siri’s Voice Is Simple

It doesn’t matter which device you change Siri’s voice on; the process is very simple. You can hear a preview if you’re unsure which is the best to choose, allowing you to determine which you will find the most convenient.

Once you’ve changed Siri’s voice, you can always switch back to the original if you later decide you don’t like it. On top of that, you can also change it as frequently as you want.
