When using your iPhone, you’ll typically need to unlock your device to use many of its features. But in some cases, you may want to access certain things without entering your passcode or using Face ID.

What Can You Toggle Accessing When Your iPhone Is Locked?

You have plenty of options for accessing what you can toggle when your iPhone is locked. It’s possible to return missed calls, for example, and you can also determine whether Siri is available without needing to unlock your iPhone.

Another handy tool you can toggle on or off when your device is locked is the Notification Center. Lock screen widgets are another feature you have control over, as is your iPhone wallet.

  • The Reply With Message feature
  • USB accessories
  • Today View and Search

How to Toggle What You Can Access When Your iPhone Is Locked

Having understood what you’re allowed to access when your iPhone is locked, let’s look at how you can adjust these features. Below are the steps you need to follow; these tips will work on devices supporting iOS 16 and later, but you can also use it if you still use iOS 15.

  1. Go to the Settings app. Then, depending on your device, look for Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode.
  2. Enter your passcode when the next window appears.
  3. On the next screen, scroll down to the Allow Access When Locked: section.
  4. Toggle the apps you want to use when your iPhone is locked on; the button will turn green. If you want to switch them off, tap them, and it’ll turn gray instead.

Once you’ve toggled your options on, you can use them with immediate effect.

Toggling what you can access when your iPhone is locked is easy. Choosing the features that are most useful to you will enable you to access them with greater ease, allowing you to use your device more efficiently.
